Around the world

Around the worldWell, not literally, but recently I have felt a need to see the World. The reasons for this are multiple and various, but I mainly feel that it’s something I have to do. I will figure out why in the time to come.

So, on the 12th of August 2008 I will leave Romania for the first country (probably Austria). I will probably live in Vienna for several weeks (3-4), then move to the next country and so on.

I know, it sounds a little far fetched, but I really want to do this (of course, I will come back to Romania once in a while – to do laundry and stuff :P ).

Why August 12th, you might wonder. Well, I do not want to go alone and I have to wait for my cousin to graduate. More, my sister’s birthday is on the 11th, so I could be there, at least :)

Where do I want to go? Well, Europe and Asia, for about an year. I want to stay in a city at least 2-3 weeks to really get to know that city, both the touristic parts of the city and the parts that tourists do not usually visit.

I am in luck: working online has a lot of benefits, one of them being that I can work whenever and wherever there’s an Internet connection. So, money should not be such a big problem (well, unless I wanna buy a car in every country I go to and just live it in the parking lot of the airport :D ).

The only thing: where should I go and what should I see… Any ideas? :)

Look, don’t miss Cannes, Nice and Monte Carlo and all that part. A different world, believe me!
You’ll be a little over everything there :)
Same too for the italian island of Capri.
And then, don’t miss Greece. You may try a Greek island, you’ll be out of the system there :) . Better then Athens. I recommend so far Santorini. If you’re interested, I will let you know some spots.

@Pyuric: Thanks for the suggestions, though I want to live in those cities for one month. Living in Monte Carlo and Dubai might prove a little bit too expensive.

@irina: As for Amsterdam, I have to say I have been quite disappointed with it. I liked the diversity, but I didn’t really felt extraordinary. I do not know why, just didn’t happen for me :)

@meplusmyself: somebody else suggested Santorini, but frankly I want places where I wouldn’t be getting too easy :) I mean, Greece is close to Romania :)

Yeah, there are seats available and yeah, blogging is convenient :D
